Tech programs to get a boost for vets as iPhone upgrades begin
VET TECH PROGRAMS ARE BEING SHIFTED FROM VETING PROGRAMS TO OTHER TYPES OF TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMS, according to a CBS News report.
Veterans and military personnel who are eligible for the iPhone 6S Plus will get a “special access” program that will let them use the device to get access to all the programs and services they need.
The Veterans Technology Education Program will also get a $3,000 upgrade to the iPhone 5S Plus.
The Veterans Health Access Program will get an iPhone 6s Plus upgrade and the $5,000 Veterans Health Care Program will receive a new iPhone 6 Plus.
Veterans Health Care has the option to upgrade to a new phone through the Veterans Health Services program, according the CBS report.
The new programs are designed to make the iPhones more accessible to veterans, and will include an Apple TV app, a new iPad app, and a new Apple TV service.
Vets can also choose to receive free software upgrades from Apple, but they must first sign up for an Apple ID.
